Reuse Your Existing Plastic Mulch

The advantage of owning the RRC1648 Rotary Refuse Chopper is that it allows the grower to reuse their existing plastic mulch covered beds, maximizing the investments in plastic, drip irrigation tape, labor and fuel. 16 high-tensile, reversible steel blades remove depleted plants from the top of the planting beds without scalping the row cover.

Even if you are not going to second crop on existing beds, the RRC1648 makes removing the plastic easier and less time consuming because you are not dealing with the vines.

A four wheel, wagon type, design utilizes independently adjustable wheels (below) to maintain a consistent cutting height, from 1 to 19 inches. Ideal for raised or flat beds. The anti-scalp roller runs the full width of the bed to prevent the blades from cutting into the plastic when encountering uneven or less than perfect ground conditions. All refuse is discharged into the wheel rows for easy cleanup. Ideal for tomato, pepper, melon, cucumber, or just about any variety of plant.
