Transplant Vegetables Through Plastic Mulch
The Renaldo Semiautomatic vegetable transplanter plants through plastic mulch coverd beds at approximately one plant per second, per planting head. One row to six row (on three beds) configurations available. Easy to use carousel feed system requires one operator per planting head. The planting system is designed around our patented, award-winning Posi-Flow Ground Engaging System which can inject into the ground between 3,000 - 3,600 seedlings per hour, per one row unit.
This vegetable transplanter, like our metered seed planter, utilizes a single injector, tool bar concept that burns holes into the plastic, injects the seedling, and gently packs it into the ground. It is then possible to add moisture to the plug in either the form of liquid fertilizer, or plain water. Safe for use with concealed drip irrigation tape.
The RTME is ideally suited for plastic covered raised beds, flat beds, and bare ground. No other transplanter on the market today can deliver this kind of flexibility and ease of use.The operator pulls plants from the two plant storage racks that are included with the unit (right). Additional trays are available and install easily on you existing tray assembly.
The planters pictured on this page are shown with the optional seated work cell, one per planting head. All transplaters come standard with a standing work platform.

 Model RTME2-1102: (above) Two row, one bed transplanter with fixed side-by-side spacing. This model would be considered a "dedicated" type of planter. Plant-to-plant (in-row) spacing is fully adjustable with a simple sprocket change. For adjustable side-by-side spacing, you would require model RTME-1100. |

  Optional equipment, such as the water injection system and reciprocating packing system, (above right) are purchased seperately. Only purchase the options you want. Upgrade kits are available as your planting needs change.
New for this model is our Hydraulic Leveling System. (left) This option allows the transplanting heads to automatically adjust to the height of the bed, maintaining consistent planting depths on uneven or less than perfect beds.

Optional Equipment Available
- Propane hole burner & tank bracket: 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 3" hole sizes available.
- Water Injection: Provides approximately 1/2 cup of water and/or liquid fertilizer to each hole at timed intervals. Hydraulic or electric water pump.
- Reciprocating packer: Wheels gently applies pressure to the hole for a firm plant set.
- Hitch: Universal CAT-ALL three point hitch connections fits all known tractor configurations. Lateral slide adjustment allows planting heads to be off-set using the hitch.
- Carousel tube size: Custom sizes can accommodate up to a four inch pot.
- Stake marker kit: Marks location of stake by puncturing a small hole in plastic.
- Leveling System: Electric or hydraulic. See table below for available configurations.
- Extended Spacing: to 32" with mixed results. Extended spacing can also be achieved by skipping every other hole in the carousel. However, it leaves a skip hole in the plastic.
- Seated Work Cell: Fiberglass seat with guarded feet protection.
