Prior to approaching the tank, crank the adapter to its full down position. Move up to the tank and split the handle bars so the adapter is positioned against the tank. The handle bars will stay in the upright position. Use the ratchet and strap assembly to attach the tank to the carrier. There are decals on the adapter that show the correct placement of the strap.

Make sure the tank carrier and adapter are positioned in the exact center of the tank. Open the tank hood to allow the strap to surround the tank. Close the hood after you have the unit attached.
